Goals

The field of porous solids like Metal Organic Frameworks, Covalent Organic Frameworks and Porous Polymers is still flourishing.

The community was initially structured at the international level, within the International Zeolite Association (IZA), with the regular organization of conferences MOFs (2008, Augsburg, 2010, Marseille, 2012, Edinburgh, 2014 , Kyoto, 2016, Long Beach). This structuring effort then continued at the European level with the launch of the EuroMOF conference cycle (2015, Berlin, 2017, Delft).

At the national level, "MOFs" communities have since united, as recent initiatives in Germany, Spain, Korea or Great Britain prove it; with key meetings or regular conferences bringing together the different teams working in this field .

At the French level, the researchers involved regularly participate in zeolite conferences, coordinating polymers, porous or hybrid solid carbons, but apart from a few thematic meetings around MOFs organized in recent years, no national structuring efforts have been undertaken in this area.

Given the significant number of high-level French teams currently working in this field and the next EuroMOF congress that will take place at the end of October 2019 in Paris, it seems appropriate that our community is structured.

We invite you to take part in the first French meeting "MOFs, COFs and porous polymers" which will take place in Paris, at ENSCP, on May 16 and 17, 2018. The main objective of this first meeting is to learn to know us better.

The idea is to ask a team researcher to present the flagship activities of his laboratory in the field; to this will be added prestigious plenary lectures (Susumu Kitagawa, Mohamed Eddaoudi) as well as a poster session for young researchers and students.

To our belgian and swiss colleagues, we also consider this conference might be of interest for you and your students. Thus, we kindly invite you to participate to this exciting meeting.
